The VASP service is a Northern Ireland signposting service, whereby individuals who come across Veterans as clients, patients or in their routine interactions can contact the VASP Adviceline to obtain signposting support to the myriad of Veteran organizations and State Welfare Services available to support Veterans and their families.
The Adviceline is open to statutory professionals, the community & voluntary sectors and individual Veterans seeking advice from the VASP service in NI.
You may wish to know this is a two-year project funded by the Armed Forces Covenant Trust Fund, with the hope that it will remain in place beyond the project timeline. The Adviceline is centered and facilitated by the Somme Nursing Home, works alongside the Veterans Support Office (VSO) and is endorsed by the NI Commissioner for Veterans. The Adviceline is a key part of the Northern Ireland structure for the delivery of support to Veterans.
