The Step Up to Leadership Course has ran now successfully for 4 years, it is specifically designed for new GP Partners or for those about to take on Partnership Roles. It is co-designed between FSU and QUB with taught modules from experienced GP Dr David Ross and is normally fully booked. It is also fully funded this year, so no cost to applicants and there will be an option to participate in some of this online to facilitate those coming from across the region.

Stepping up to L’Ship & Management in General Practice (Closing Date: 22.9.25) | School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences | Queen’s University Belfast

Useful to note:

  • Each session will offer an option to attend online or face to face,  and will be recorded for catch up purposes.
  • The programme is accredited by the CMI and successful participants will achieve Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Level 7 Award in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice alongside obtaining 20 University CAT points.
  • Modules include 3 sessions from experienced GP Dr David Ross on Contract Management, Practice Finances and Relationships both within the practice and the external environment
  • Eligible applicants must be a current GP Partner / Salaried GP and with (or about to take on) management responsibilities in the practice
