We will be joined today by Dr Nigel Ruddell. Nigel has a background as a GP in rural County Down, and joined the ambulance service in 2009 where he is now the Medical Director. He plans to speak about how GPs can engage with NIAS to get the best for our patients, and to explain what happens when a request for ambulance transport is made. He’ll also be explaining how the role of paramedics in particular has expanded, and how NIAS makes choices about the right pathways for patient care.
