SPPG will introduce the “Skip the Dip” antimicrobial stewardship campaign, which promotes a symptom-based clinical assessment over routine dipstick testing in appropriate patient groups. Matthew Dolan (SPPG) will provide an overview of the campaign and its key messages. Dr Waqar Ahmed (GP) will explore the practical realities of managing suspected UTI in general practice, including the challenges of undifferentiated urine samples, inconsistent triage, and over-reliance on dipstick testing.
Dr Conor Gorman, Deputy Clinical Director of Elective Care (GPECS) will deliver a brief update on their services ( Dermatology, Vasectomy, Gynaecology & Skin surgery ) with the referral criteria for each service.
Dr Stirling will also be presenting an introduction to using patient messaging in practice for users that are new to Accurx and EMIS with a chance for Q&A and tips.
