Please be advised that the Eastern FSU now has additional locum capacity as a number of our salaried GPs previously engaged in Elective Care have been redeployed to our locum team as a temporary measure during the pandemic.
You may also know that the HSCB has secured the agreement of DoH colleagues, that should a GP of a Practice who commits to working in a Covid centre be required to engage the services of a locum as a result of sick leave, then the HSCB will reimburse the Practice the amounts detailed in the Statement of Financial Entitlement (section 10 of SFE) from day one as opposed to week five, which is the current provision in the SFE.
Federation locums can be requested on our bookings site – www.federationbookings.org.uk at a cost of £200 per session. If you cannot recall your user name, please contact myself. If you cannot recall your password, the system will allow you to reset same. FSU does not have access to user passwords.
Attached is a brief guide to the system. The FSU manages the booking requests on this site. If your request is successful you will receive a confirmation of booking email from the site’s “Automated System Email.” Please ensure that any requests which may have been submitted but, are no longer needed, are deleted from the system. This can be actioned by yourself if the request has not yet been confirmed. If it has been confirmed then you need to advise me no later than 3 working days’ prior to the date for the booking.
